We often read in the local news about the traffic; the problems and the debated solutions.
I believe one way to ease the congestion in the downtown areas of Qualicum Beach and Parksville is to consider installing on-ramps to Highway 19 east and west from Church Road.
There are thousands of residents living between Memorial Drive and the Alberni Highway who are compelled to drive to these highway accesses often through the central areas or back streets, causing more traffic than would be required if they could use an alternative.
As well, if you use Church Road today, you have to stop at the Alberni Highway and turn out into the frequently heavy and fast-moving traffic.
