HEROES-Super heroes in our local business community supported the Yucalta Lodge Volunteer appreciation event on August 17th with donations for our door prizes.

HEROES- Many thanks to Jim Creighton for his wonderful summer of music and entertainment at Spirit Square this year. Thanks too go to the City of Campbell River for funding and to the TD Bank and 2 Day FM 99.7 for their sponsorship of the Thursday night free concerts in which our band Reunion was lucky enought to be asked to participate. A big thank you to Alistair Taylor and editorial staff at the Mirror for all their coverage of the Spirit Square music series.

HEROES- Heroes to Jamie Turko at Destiny River Adventures.
He was kind enough to loan a few stand-up paddle boards and kayaks to the Campbell River Search and Rescue family camping weekend.
The fun these provided to the kids and adults alike made the weekend a spectacular success.
It was fun to watch the 6-year-old kids figure out stand-up paddle boarding and definitely helped wear them out so they would fall asleep easier in the evening (not to mention everyone else). Thank you so much for helping to make our weekend a little more adventurous and a lot more fun!!
