History lesson continued

A reminder of the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, the Spanish Inquisition and residential schools in rural, northern Canada

I would like to thank letter writer Anthonie Den Boef (The NEWS, Feb. 19) for reminding fellow letter writer Bernie Smith and I of the great deeds of Christian organizations.

I would also like to remind him of the St.Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, the Spanish Inquisition and, of course, the residential schools in rural, northern Canada.

It is always good to study history; it would be nice if that would teach us not to repeat it.
