Regarding the homeless camp in Polson Park, instead of talking about them, talk to them.
Many of these folks don’t want to be housed.
We camp for recreation, they camp because it’s their lifestyle.
There are acres and acres of wide open spaces in this area that are under used, like that forgotten race track for example.
We could put up a couple of porta potties and maybe a summer kitchen. Work with them and not against them.
As for drugs, guns and violence, we probably drive by some very nice homes that have all of the above.
