Hospital sales a ‘bizarre’ sight

No one wants to spend time in the ER at Peace Arch Hospital, but if you have to it is convenient.

However, observing the sick, injured, elderly and distressed being tended to on trolleys in the crowded hallways reminds me of visits to Africa and India.

The staff work valiantly within the space they have and management focuses on fundraising.

Nonetheless, it is bizarre to walk a short distance down the hallway and see fundraising stalls selling handbags and jewelry in more open spaces.

Are the management competent to make compassionate and pragmatic choices with the real estate already available?
