Whew! I’m seeing the HST in my sleep. We are being asked to make a decision for or against it. I have to say that my decision won’t be hard to make. Every few minutes, we’re bombarded with commercials sponsored by a tax alliance, which in reality is a coalition of big businesses who are spending millions to suggest we vote no, or is it yes? It’s pretty confusing. Make no mistake about it, those millions will be well spent should their side win.
We hear how the HST will benefit John Q. Public.
However, nothing is being said about what the big corporations will receive with all of the exemptions which of course we know very little about because of the conspiracy being perpetuated to keep us ignorant.
It’s always been my opinion that B.C. Liberals tell us only what they want us to hear, not necessarily being the whole truth, which, as far as I’m concerned, is a lie of omission which is still a lie.
I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again, anyone that can show me their cost of living has gone down, I’ll personally make a public retraction and open myself to public flogging in a public square.
I’m not too concerned that will happen.
