HST favours business not citizens

You seem to forget that the Liberal government was re-elected on the premise that they were not going to bring in the HST. The government out and out lied to the people of B.C. on this issue.

In answer to Doug Hlina in last week’s letters.

I think we are a democratic country?

You seem to forget that the Liberal government was re-elected on the premise that they were not going to  bring in the HST. The government out and out lied to the people of B.C. on this issue.

Now they want us to believe how good it is for us and how much money we will save when they go to 10 per cent HST in 2014. Never mind we are now paying 12 per cent on many of our services after the HST was in play instead of five per cent. The government also wants you to believe that if you vote against the HST, you are a uneducated idiot. They have spent millions in advertisements to get you to believe it’s good for you. The government insults the intellect of all B.C residents trying to get us to believe their hogwash. If you have half a brain you can see through there tactics. It is only good for big business not for the average working man and seniors on fixed incomes.

I am tired of being lied to and treated like a no-mind by the BC Liberals. The HST is here to stay. No matter how we vote, the government will find a way around it if the results are not in their favour.
