HUGS AND SLUGS: Appreciation for hydro workers

Some love for a local garbage picker too

SLUGS: To a local store that doesn’t enforce their staff or shoppers to wear masks. I hope the sales are worth the risk for all of us.

HUGS: To the lady who cleaned up the garbage at the LVR daycare parking lot on Sunday. This is an ongoing daily issue in this parking lot, myself and neighbours are often picking up garbage there.

SLUGS: To new land owners who brought the biggest excavator they could get into a quiet neighbourhood and proceeded to cut every tree on their property and destroy a special piece of land. You will regret every tree you cut down during the next heat wave.

HUGS: To all the linemen who restore our electrical power after a storm AND to the crews who clean up the branches and trees.

HUGS: A bow of gratitude from the North Shore to all people on the ground, in the air, and in the office who re-created our power supply over the past 36 hours. As always, when our systems fail us the human heart and spirit rise to the occasion.
