Regrettably, tagging happens in undesirable places, defacing private property.
In the 1990s, Victoria handled the situation by requesting ID when selling spray paint to young people and recording date and colour of paint with the ID. This curtailed the problem very successfully.
Cpl. Jesse Foreman’s idea of photographing the taggers’ works is good and I would add fingerprinting any cans found near the crime scene to be used later in gaining some community service candidates!
