It was the Third Annual Civic Bike Challenge where 68 cyclists from kids to seniors, the two Oceanside mayors, many of the town staff, etc. enjoying a leisurely and safe ride through our towns and The NEWS found the one photo with two cyclists without helmets and one of them on a cell phone.
Did you want to make a anti cyclist statement on purpose? Qualicum Beach and Parksville are both committed to improving the safety on the street and the bike challenge ride is about a bike-safe friendly community.
