Editor, The News:
I have emailed the Maple Ridge engineering department, but I don’t know if they will reply, so I am wondering if anyone else has wondered this or if anyone knows what is going on.
I see all the work building the extra lanes on 232 Street. I am perplexed as to why, as they simply go back into two lanes at 128 Avenue.
However, what I really want to know is when is something going to be done about the ridiculous chunk of ‘road’ on 128 Avenue, from 210 Street to at least 216 Street.
It is a feeder route for commuters now and is very busy both ways, but the lanes are so narrow and there are no shoulders.
I can’t believe the bike riders and people that continue to use it at their peril.
I have almost been hit, head on, by a car coming the other direction and swerving into my lane to avoid hitting these bikes.
I walked it once and was scared to death as the cars come by so close.
Why is nothing being done about it?
All that work done for Golden Ears Bridge connector, all the work done on 232 St. and on that scary chunk of road, nothing. Anyone have a clue?
Does this bug anyone else?
