If Metro builds their garbage incinerator it will have to be classed as ‘green’ renewable energy which they would sell to BC Hydro for four times current Hydro rates which would be passed on to all B.C. residents. So, if you’re OK with that, do nothing, otherwise do something and quickly.
Proponents argue that the ash residue is ‘only’ 10% and not 20% plus as I have said before, but is anyone OK with even 70 tonnes of toxic ash being landfilled somewhere in BC for at least 50 years? Oh! and goodbye to recycling, it’s combustible.
