Keep garbage service and jobs local

This garbage is garbage.

Why are we being forced to pay for something we don’t use? Are we just supposed to open our wallets and pay whenever we are told to?

I have a truck and do our own garbage run and help other people because they cannot get their garbage and recycling to the curb.

Not only was the contract given to a company from out of town they don’t pick up glass. If they are picking up recycling why not pick up all of the recycling? Why pay for the convenience of having our recycling picked up when we’re inconvenienced by having to take our glass in ourselves?

How are we supposed to get our city back on it’s feet? Begin by hiring local, perhaps. Everyone says shop local, support our town. Yes, you may pay a little bit more, but have you not looked at our town and the people?

It’s gorgeous and people say hi to each other and if someone needs help the town helps. I know, I’ve been on the receiving end of that generous help and support.

I think it’s time to stand up and say No. Listen to the people that voted you in because they thought you would help and listen to them. They make our town, they keep it going, let’s make jobs not give them away. I don’t know if I’m more angry at being forced to pay for a service I don’t use, or that the money is going out of town. When does it start being our decision again?

Getting tired of it,
