We are fortunate to have in and near our community of Clearwater, many delightful, quiet trails to walk with our dogs, our children or our grandchildren. One of my favourites is the trail to the point of land where the Clearwater and the North Thompson Rivers meet, and I am sure that many others enjoy it too. Until now it has always been clean and tidy in spite of small remains of campfires and picnics. But I walked there Friday morning and found an awful litter of water bottles, beer cans and other kinds of garbage, which really distressed me. Please people, can’t you carry it out when you go?
