We learned this week of the passing of Gordon Kenyon.
The crew at the SS Sicamous will miss him greatly. He was a terrific gentleman and friend, and to us, he was so much more.
For many years Gord was a volunteer here at the ship. He could make or fix almost anything, which was a talent that always came in handy on our ageing ship. If we called he would come at a moment’s notice, tool box in hand. We could certainly have used his expertise this week with the challenges we’re are facing on the lake.
The Kenyon brothers, both Gord and Al, were long-time supporters of the SS Sicamous Restoration Society and were regular visitors to the ship. With all of the things Gord did for the SS Sicamous he was also one of our greatest benefactors. Gord, you will be missed.
