Kootenay-Columbia MP’s photo ops result of coming election

Our fearless leaders are worried and cheques start coming, and we actually get to see our MP, at least in a photo op...

How nice it was to see “our” MP David Wilks grace the Creston Valley with his presence. And bringing cash, no less! Could this be yet another reason that elections should be held more frequently? Our government has had many years of opportunity to be investing in infrastructure. Suddenly, our fearless leaders are worried and cheques start coming, and we actually get to see our MP, at least in a photo op.

It’s a shame. As memory serves, I thought Mr. Wilks once had some potential when he spoke against Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s first gigantic omnibus bill, and what that signified for democracy. He was quickly muzzled, of course, and he now even refuses to participate in debates in his own riding. One can only assume that the citizens of his riding are not important enough to bring Mr. Harper to any debate, so that Mr. Wilks would know what to say.
