Recently, my father Jack Bryan received a medal from the Korean ambassador, thanking him for something that had happened 64 years ago.
The medal is beautiful and the letter attached very heartfelt. What I saw in my dad’s eyes was pride that he had been part of something so important as a countries right to be free. Today we don’t think of the way war was fought 64 years ago.
I want to take this time to thank all the Korean veterans (which I understand there are still many) and hope that we will be strong enough when called on to fight for freedom, everywhere. Thanks dad.
