Ladies turn at the movie theatre

A movie with a different kind of appeal for ladies.

This one is definitely for the ladies.

When it comes to movie night, I must admit, I’m usually on the guy side of the “what to watch” argument.

I love the “shoot ‘em up” action, the crude low-brow comedy, and I’ve never shied away from too much blood up on the screen during an epic war drama.

When my friends dragged me to the Notebook, I put up more of a fight than their boyfriends did.

On countless girls nights out, I’ve been subjected to hours of boring romantic storylines, and sensitive guys who always realize the error of their ways, and come back to sweep the heroine off her feet. Ugh.

Enter Magic Mike.

Finally, here is a chick flick I can get behind. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure this movie will follow the typical romantic comedy formula. But this time I don’t care.

The movie could be 90 minutes of watching paint dry on a wall, it won’t matter. As long as those scantily boys are dancing in front of it.

And I don’t think I’m alone in this thought.

So for the few days the movie comes to Golden, I think you can expect  a theatre full of women.
