Let’s give peace a try

Weekly vigils set to kick off for fall

The peace vigil each week in Parksville reminds us that Canada is still at war.

Yesterday we were at war in Afghanistan, today we are at war in Libya.

At the vigils, we remember those who suffer in war, and we work towards a more just and peaceful world for our children and for our grandchildren.

Come join with us on Tuesdays at the Clock tower on the Island Highway in Parksville.

The peace vigil runs for an  hour, from noon to 1 p.m.

Young folks and not so young folk are invited to wave a “give peace a chance” sign with us for anything from five minutes to an hour.
