In response to Bruce Jones suggestion that we need to add freeway access at 208th Street [“Highway access needed…â€, June 11] to ease congestion at 200th Street.
While I understand that there is a need for more freeway access due to the atrocious design of the 200th Street interchange, I must argue with the idea of adding on-ramps and off-ramps to 208th Street. Those of us who need only to get across Highway 1, not access it, need to be able to do so without fighting and expanding the line-up to get onto the freeway. I suggest a whole new overpass with a proper cloverleaf system (not traffic lights!) at 216th would be a far better option and leave the fly-over at 208th.
