Letter: Banks bailed out, what about the people?

And as for BC Hydro rate increases, what would they do if we all collectively don’t pay it?

To the editor:

The U.S. government has recovered billions of dollars in fines to banks and mortgage companies which caused the collapse of the stock markets and investment companies.

Because of that collapse, investors lost millions from their savings and retirement funds.

Is there any chance that from the billions recovered, the losses that Canadian and American investors suffered, that those dollars lost could be returned to them?

And as for BC Hydro rate increases, what would they do if we all collectively don’t pay it?
