Letter: Can lose your home with money in bank

I have recently found out how a person can lose their home to the bank even though he has money in the bank.

To the editor:

I have recently found out how a person can lose their home to the bank even though he has money in the bank.

The money is in a locked-in pension plan that he cannot get at.

The government of B.C. will not let him get at it, but Alberta and Ontario do.

This causes a hardship.

I think the government of B.C. should take a look at this. People are losing there homes to the banks after 14 years of paying. That money is gone.

All they would like is to survive and not be put out on the street.
