To the editor:
Regarding Jake Thiessen’s letter to the editor regarding no cross in hospital chapel. (Plea for Return of a Cross to KGH Chapel, April 18 Capital News.)
I think the answer to his query as to why the cross was removed, is contained in his own comment: “Somewhere back in time, individuals saw the important role our spiritual well-being plays in our physical healing, and they designed a place for patients or their friends and family to spend time alone with THEIR God…” (emphasis and capitals mine.)
I’m thinking maybe not everyone’s God is represented by a cross?
