To the editor:
So Christy Clark has selected West Kelowna to run in a byelection.
How ironic that the woman whom her own riding of Point Grey in Vancouver ousted out of office because they felt she was not good enough, is now going to attempt to represent this riding.
It must have been a shock to her to have lost her own riding as premier.
Will West Kelowna be represented properly, fairly, and well? I doubt it.
The fact this area has had two previous premiers does not change the fact that Ms. Clark is an also-ran now, even with her title as Premier.
Don’t expect her to do much for this area. I’m sure that Ben Stewart must be resentful for losing his position but, of course, he won’t show it. He’s too classy for that.
With less than six years as an MLA in government, he is not eligible for a government pension. As a result, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ms. Clark has offered him a very attractive financial package or some other nice reward to have him step down.
Will Ms. Clark divulge that information?
No way.
It’ll be hush hush, just like the first thing she did after this past election—give a number of her people a nice fat raise.
And that is being prudent with our money?
Didn’t she run on a platform that included being careful how she spends our money?
Of course she has to pay off her loyal followers. It’s a case of do as I say and not as I do.
In the meantime, seniors will have to pay $25 per month to rent wheelchairs.
Fair, isn’t it? Health, education, and social services will continue to get huge kicks in the gut while she and her associates laugh all the way to the bank with higher salary increases.
Wouldn’t it be something if she lost the byelection in West Kelowna as well?
