Letter: Condolences from an American friend

Dear Friends:

Dear Friends:

I am a native of Washington State and am a very frequent visitor to Canada, usually to B.C.and often to your city.

It is with the greatest sorrow that I read of the loss of your beautiful city’s daughter, Christine Archibald, on the streets of London, England.

Although I never met Christine, I have met so may welcoming and helpful Canadians, that I feel a painful loss at the taking of this young person’s life.

Please know that, despite what you may hear in the news about the direction our country has taken, what with the election of the fascist to our White House, there are still millions of caring persons south of your border that consider you our closest neighbor, a neighbor that we know must be feeling the pain of a senseless death.

I for one will pray for you all in this time of loss.
