Letter: Criminal charges for skiers who go OB

The legal system has to look at criminal prosecution for reckless endangerment.

To the editor:

Out of Bounds: I think an good and prudent story about how to deal with people who continually disregard warnings is in order.

Search and Rescue will never charge (mandated), and ski resorts have no authority to charge [for the expense of a search and rescue operation. The legal system has to look at criminal prosecution for reckless endangerment. What will it take, the death of a SAR tech to rescue an idiot who willingly went out of bounds?
