Letter: Deer by another name?

Public art sculpture seems less like rabbits, more like deer

Re: Artistic showcase, Oak Bay News, June 10

Rabbits, you say, referring to the photo of the sculpture on Cadboro Bay Road.

I guess it’s called artistic license as they do look a bit like rabbits but not totally.

To me they are more like deer. I know a little about rabbits and they have short front paws, thicker rear quarters and legs, shorter, wider ears and short tails unless they are jack rabbits or cotton tails which have bushier tails.

And further to writer Keith Sketchley’s comments on vandalism I noticed that one of the “rabbits” has already been vandalized.
