A disappointing article on the website of the Penticton Western News — appearing less than a week after news of the tender was first printed in their newspaper — suggests it is likely too late to postpone the $6.4 million decision to renovate the Penticton airport until such time as it is determined to clearly be in the best interests of Canadian taxpayers.
And that the negative social, environmental and financial impacts on local residents are acceptable.
I wonder how long it will be before we learn that another multi-million dollar capital project — this one to upgrade the access road into YYF — is announced?
