To the editor:
What a great feeling in the downtown core on Friday evening.
It was a beautiful warm summer evening—Bernard was alive. People were sitting on lawn chairs listening to the live music, strolling along the new boat wharf and many people were dining at the sidewalk restaurants. It was a safe and friendly environment.
On Saturday, the Downtown Block Party attracted many people to a day of fun activities and displays. Bernard Street was closed to traffic and this allowed vendors and service groups to set up sidewalk booths. An interesting and entertaining day for everyone who attended.
Great job Kelowna.
