Letter: Even 110 km/h ‘too darn fast’

If one does drive at the speed limit, other drivers pass at more than the legal speed limit and increase the dangers.

To the editor:

Re: Tuesday, Oct. 8 Sound Off question: Do you think the Coquihalla Highway speed limit should be raised from 110 to 120 km/h? [See results today on page A10.]

Even 110 km/h is just too darn fast. I would far prefer to reduce the speed limit than increase it. As I see it, the trouble with today’s speed limit is that if one does drive at the speed limit, other drivers pass at more than the legal speed limit and increase the dangers.
