LETTER: Evening banging of pots and pans disrespectful to shift workers

'How about just posting thank-you signs on your yards or windows?'

It is disappointing that some people have no respect for night shift workers who are trying to sleep during the day, or parents who just spent over 30 minutes getting their baby to sleep.

When night shift workers are not well rested, their lives along with their co-workers and the public are at a greater risk of injury or death.

Rather than banging pots/pans, or some first responders using their sirens to thank health-care workers, how about just posting thank-you signs on your yards or windows that the health care workers can see anytime?
