Editor:
Earlier this summer, I had an accident at home. As a result, I was admitted to Peace Arch Hospital at 2 a.m. and after 14 hours, I received hip-replacement surgery.
From the beginning, I received the most kind, careful and professional treatment from all the hospital personnel.
There are many names – Susan, Mandeep, Dan (X-ray), Irina, Amandip – as well as UBC students, surgeon and physicians. It is impossible to remember all of them, but I have to say thank you very much. You are doing a wonderful and admirable job.
Keep in mind this is a public service and people who receive decent and accurate treatment shouldn’t take it for granted. These people work very hard in a difficult environment – almost always with a smile.
If somebody complains, it is because they don’t appreciate how fortunate they are to have such care.
For many years I have been a carrier for my beloved Peace Arch News paper and now I have to walk slowly with a walker/cane.
I hope to recover soon, walk normally and maybe return to deliver the paper again.
One more time, allow me to express my infinite gratitude to the medical staff of Peace Arch Hospital.
