Dear Editor,
We, along with the Figueroa family, received the best gift we could ask for two days before Christmas, Jose Figueroa was set free.
What a sight it was. The moment he took his first step outside the church, God caused a bald eagle to circle overhead. That was the universal sign of freedom that we all needed.
We would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank the Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship for making things right. We tip our glass to you.
