LETTER: G-7 and future vision

From reader Ron Robinson

When it comes to a focus on meaningful and measurable climate policies , our current government might be considered visually impaired. With the G7 just ending, we will see how focused Canada can be in advocating for an end to public money being used to support a sector that is directly or indirectly responsible for the majority of our GHG emissions.

Political life is full or risks. We will see which risk is the focus of our government – staying in power or committing to their net-zero promise.

We will see how focused the general public will be in support of those actions. Whether changing the prescription for eye glasses or changing and implementing sound climate policy, the focus is on dealing with change – it’s all about vision.
