I was checking Gas Buddy to see the prices in Vancouver.
Almost everywhere the prices are $1.09 to $1.11 per litre, same as here in the Okanagan. Vancouver has been enjoying these prices for well over a week now (according to a friend who lives there).
Considering the Lower Mainland is supposed to be paying about seven cents per litre more in carbon taxes, why are we not paying somewhere between $1.02 to $1.04 per litre? I’m sure our local superhero Dan Albas will get right on that and make it all better.
Note to the oil companies and retailers — if you’re going to screw us, at least kiss us first.
