LETTER: It’s not a good thing

Mission is one of the few places left where there is still hope that our children will be able to afford to live and raise a family.

Re: Housing Values on the Rise (March 11th edition of the Mission Record).

This may not be a good thing, if you are following what is happening across the region with real estate fraud and allegations of foreign money-laundering and real-estate flipping driving up house prices way beyond what an average B.C. family can afford.

Mission is one of the few places left where there is still hope that our children will be able to afford to live and raise a family.

Affordable housing is already an issue in Mission.

Out-of-control house prices not only can drive away young families, but it trickles down to mean higher rents that make things worse for the most vulnerable among us.
