Letter: Langley twins miss their lost hats

"I wish the person who found them could have returned them to Costco where I could have claimed them"

Dear Editor,

I am disappointed. Why can’t people be honest and return something to a lost and found instead of thinking it is theirs to take? As I was loading my nine-month-old twins into the truck at Costco in Langley last week, trying to be thoughtful of the person waiting for my space, trying to hurry, I left their Bass Pro Shop hats in the cart.

I know this is my mistake, but I wish the person who found them could have returned them to Costco where I could have claimed them. They are very special, as their uncle bought them for them before they were born. The boys wore these every day.

Where have all the honest people gone?
