If Argenta-Johnsons Landing cannot be saved from clearcut logging with a community watershed, old growth forest, mountain caribou, unstable terrain, and a landslide that killed four people, where is sacred ground?
Cooper Creek Cedar needs to take out watershed logging liability insurance, a concept they should understand, since they’re suing two clearcut logging water protectors for “damages/lost profit!”
After all, people pay water licence fees yet could have their water systems destroyed or water fouled. They pay property taxes yet have no recourse if their homes or properties are damaged or destroyed. Not to mention loss of life from landslides, or safety issues on windy, inadequate roads with overloaded logging trucks!
Demand logging liability insurance before any logging occurs on Argenta-Johnsons Landing face. After all, what other high risk business in B.C. doesn’t need liability insurance or bonding for such dangerous ventures?
