Editor: Last June I had a phone call from a man named Charles who lived on Mowat Crescent in Fort Langley.

After he asked a few personal questions I asked him what the call was about. Apparently he lived across the street from our previous residence and was calling on behalf on the current owner, Melanie.

Her six-year old son was digging in her front yard and found my wedding ring, which I has lost over 40 years ago.

When we got married we had had our wedding rings engraved with our first names and wedding date. Melanie wanted to return my ring to me. Isn’t it wonderful to know that in our community we have such honest and caring individuals?

I wanted to thank Melanie, her son and her neighbour for finding me. We are celebrating our 43rd anniversary next week and I will be wearing my original wedding ring. Thank you.
