Without giving warning your garbage will not be collected if you do not space your garbage cans three feet away from any curb, car, tree, other garbage cans, etc. As per Len Robson, manager of City Works.
I called Tuesday morning, and yes a little upset, asked why I was not given a warning? Mr. Robson stated “repeat offenders are not having their garbage picked up.”
I then said I have never been told that there was an issue. Mr. Robson then said “well your kids could be taking the sticker off when they bring in the trash cans.” That is laughable as my son has never touched the garbage even when I beg him.
I took pictures of all the neighbours garbage cans that didn’t have their garbage collected and shock and surprise none of our garbage cans has a sticker. I guess there is a Christmas sticker thief loose in our complex.
The conversation with Mr. Robson on his part was unacceptable, he was laying blame on my son as well as accusing us of being repeat offenders. I did call back just to get clarification on what the warning would be, Mr. Robson stated that it would be a sticker on our garbage can. We and all the neighbours that didn’t get their garbage picked up have had no stickers placed on their garbage cans.
