To the editor:
I’m sure I was not the only one somewhat displeased by the BMO Okanagan Marathoners for littering the entire route with their used energy packages.
Obviously, focused as they were on completing the run, they were unconcerned with the mess they were leaving.
In future the organizers would do well to provide trash bins at suitable intervals so runners could toss the empties in as they pass by, collect the bins later and thereby avoid an unsightly mess. That should not be too difficult, I would think.
