LETTER: Nomination process left Boot at disadvantage

A recent letter regarding the New Democratic Party nomination was entitled, “Nomination was far from a farce.”

Dear Editor:

A recent letter regarding the New Democratic Party nomination was entitled, “Nomination was far from a farce.” I wish to add my thoughts on this matter.

I also thought there was a tremendous amount of energy and dedication on the part of the committee, but I was left with one unanswered question after attending the convention.

Why was there only one advance poll, and that was in Penticton?

Why was there no advance poll in Peachland or Summerland?

People living in Peachland are unlikely to go to Penticton for advance voting, and the majority of the voting was done at the advance poll.

I felt Toni Boot was at a disadvantage due to this decision.
