With regard to fundraising for the reconstruction of the pier, I was going to facetiously suggest the local politicians participate in a jump-off – of the pier, of course.
However, with a bit of research I discovered that in Seward, Alaska they do have a jump-off fundraiser. Perhaps we should consider it seriously.
