Dear Editor,
About six months ago I phoned the Township to complain about all the potholes along 208th Street near 78th Avenue.
At the time you almost had to veer into oncoming traffic to avoid the potholes.
I was kind of written off on the phone and was led to believe this was not considered a safety issue and was not a top priority.
Recently I was putting up garage sale signs in my subdivision. As fast as they were going up, someone from the Township was taking them down.
I finally ran into the fellow who was taking them down and he explained to me that his foreman sent him to take them down because as a safety issue they could distract drivers.
I was a little taken back.
I think whoever is making these decisions should maybe rethink the Township’s safety priorities regarding traffic.
