Editor: The editorial “Taking big money out of BC politics” (the Times, May 4) says that at the provincial level 68 per cent of those polled believe that “citizens are not influential in shaping policy.
“Ranked in order of influence were corporations, lobbyists, foreign investors, unions and then the citizens themselves”.
I feel that a similar ranking applies to Langley Township, and at the municipal level of government generally in the Fraser Valley.
Am I alone?
I would contribute a few dollars to an opinion poll to find out. Is there any organization or individual out there to take the initiative?
