Thank you to the City of White Rock and to my fellow citizens for allowing the dog-walking trial. I spend a minimum of one hour every single day at the promenade with my leashed dog, and promised myself at the beginning of the trial that I would pick up the poo left by law-breaking dog owners so that the misdeeds of a few would not ruin the privilege for the rest of us.
I am very happy to report that not once have I seen a “misdeed.”
I did don my bag-glove one time to pick up an offending pile, but it turned out to just be a rock. I suggest that many of the poo sightings are actually goose poop, of which there is gross abundance.
Most of all, I feel so much safer walking my dog in the early dark evenings along the beautifully lit promenade, much safer than walking anywhere else in the city.
