For approximately two weeks I observed gas prices sitting uniformly across the board in Salmon Arm at $1.34.9, while the same gas trucked from Kamloops to Vernon was only $1.29.9.in Tappen (less than 10 kilometres away) and $1.26.9 in Vernon!
Then last week while watching Shaw Cable Channel 326 (Kelowna) listing gas prices across the Shuswap, the announcer actually said: “Hey, what is wrong with Salmon Arm?”

That type of statement certainly does not encourage shopping or tourism to venture north for our local merchants.
Currently we have gas prices in Salmon Arm ranging between $1.25.9 to $1.32.5, while once again the same gas in Tappen is only $1.21.9!
Folks – go on line to search ‘Gas Buddy,’ and please only support those stations which earn and deserve your support – even if it means driving a little farther!
