To the editor:
I am referring to the Nov. 26 letter, Unfair portrait painted of B.C. hunters.
I find it comical to see the words “unfair” and “hunters” in the same sentence, LOL!
There is no fairness, sportsmanship or integrity in loading up guns and arrows and preying on innocent animals trying to survive in what little habitat they have left.
Do these red necks really think they are fair and ethical using tactics such as guns, bow and arrows, decoys, bating animals with food, leg-hold traps, cammoflash, snares, blinding headlights at night and hunting with dogs.
Hunters like Ducks Unlimited will say they conserve land but it’s only so the animals have habitat for the hunters to stalk and kill them. Is that fair and ethical?
Hunters are a dying breed but the animals still need our help. Hide the guns from your dad, uncle, brother, son, husband, wife, boyfriend.
Take your camera, not a gun and truly enjoy nature and the peaceful beauty in life not death.
