Letter: Thank you from Texans passing by Vanderhoof

Dear Editor,

Back in June, while driving north of Vanderhoof, my truck suffered a major engine breakdown and I was towed into Vanderhoof to Westline Ford for diagnosis and repairs.

Although a very expensive repair, I would like to express my thanks to several of your area people, and the employees at Westline.

First, I was brought in off the highway by Troy at Give Er a Yank towing–a very professional person that knows his business. As to Westline Ford–they were the most helpful and friendly of any business I have ever been involved with–Tammy, Steven and particularly Jeff, the technician who fixed my truck, were all super to work with and always ready with an answer to my questions. Finally, Mr. and Mrs. Dave of Dave’s RV Park just south of town run a really nice and clean park and it was just what my wife and I needed while the truck was fixed. Also, the owner of the large lumber mill north of town was generous enough to send one of his employees and a truck to move my fifth wheel to the rv park.

This was a difficult situation for me, towing a large fifth wheel and in the early stage of a trip to Alaska. All the Vanderhoof folks I encountered were super nice and friendly, and I am thankful that I was lucky enough to have the breakdown in your area.

Thanks to all who helped me during the week we were there.
