Thanks to the Nelson Police Department. I was visiting Nelson last week as part of the WaCanId Rotary ride of the Selkirk loop. I was driving a large baggage van and elected to park on the hillside.
After coffee and lunch with a friend, I started climbing the hill to the van. After 1½ hours I was still climbing the hill looking for the van. Running out of time I stopped at the Nelson Police Department where a very pleasant young lady waited on me. She didn’t laugh when I told her my story of not being able to find my van.
Two police officers were going off duty and said they would take a look. After about 10 minutes dispatch got a call that they had found it and to meet them outside for a ride to my van. Thanks for being kind and understanding. You are part of what makes Nelson special!
